I recently took my kids to the Liverpool World Museum. While some areas like the Space and Time section and the Bug enclosure were a bit underwhelming, the newly opened Egyptian exhibit was fantastic!

2010: My year in review (a personal view)
2010 was a big year! Benjamin joined our family in June. I also joined Google as a Developer Programs Engineer, later transitioning to Developer Advocate, which has been an amazing experience. I've met tons of talented people, traveled a lot, and worked with developers worldwide. I've been busy with projects like creating a Chrome Web Store app, Chrome extensions showcasing the Management API, HTML5Rocks tutorials, and WebIntents. I even got a new LCD TV after years of waiting! In 2011, I'm aiming to code more, release more code, meet more developers, speak at more events, and most importantly, spend more time at home with my family.
My Dad has Started a blog!
My dad has started a blog about cycling and how it has helped him improve his fitness. He's lost over 4 stone (27KG) by combining cycling with the Lifestyle and Weight Management Service. Check out his blog at http://frank.kinlan.co.uk and leave him some feedback!
For all the people that know me but I didn't get around to txting last week
Our baby boy, Jack Paul Francis Kinlan, was born on October 11th, 2005, weighing 8lb 11.5oz. Both mom and baby are doing great! We waited a week before sharing the news to enjoy some quiet family time.
What is Scoble Talking about? [Not an attack or anything]
Robert Scoble's recent blog post mentions the increasing number of blogs and photo-sharing sites, questioning how people can keep up with all of it, especially within large families. I'm interpreting this as a hint towards a new, private social blogging tool designed for families to share updates, events, and other information. This tool could potentially aggregate family blogs, prioritize certain members' posts (like the head of the family), and allow for filtered viewing (e.g., kids only seeing other kids' posts). It could even facilitate conversations between family members through blog referencing. I'm curious if such a tool exists or has been attempted before, and welcome any thoughts or insights on this idea.
